From the last day i.e. 23 May 2023, people are going to the bank to get the 2 thousand rupee note changed. This is happening because in the past, the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI had announced that now it will withdraw the note of 2 thousand rupees. However, till September 30, these Rs 2,000 notes will remain legal tender. In such a situation, people are reaching the bank to exchange their Rs 2,000 notes. When when will the notes be changed?
If you have 2 thousand rupees notes, then from 23 May 2023 to 30 September 2023, you can get them both changed and deposited from the bank.

Where will it be changed?
Whether you have a note of 2 thousand rupees or more. In such a situation, it is not necessary for you that you can get them changed by going to the bank where you have your account. Rather, you can go to any bank branch near you and get the 2 thousand rupee note changed. On the other hand, if you do not have a bank account, you can still get them changed from any nearest bank.

How much money can be exchanged at once?
Clear instructions have been given by RBI to all the banks to make separate counters to exchange Rs 2,000 notes. Where you will be able to change the maximum amount of 20 thousand rupees in one go. Keep in mind that no bank can refuse to exchange the notes of any customer.

Is there any fee to be paid?
Not at all, if you go to any bank to exchange a 2000 rupee note, then you will not have to pay any kind of fee. Even on behalf of RBI, it has been said that while changing the notes, the bank will not take any ID from the customers nor will they fill out any form. However, the RBI has asked the banks to keep the data of people who exchange notes safe.
