Millets Drinks: With the rising temperature, the summer continues to wreak havoc. The scorching sun has made life difficult for the people. In such a situation, to stay healthy in this season, people include different types of foods in their diet. In this season, to maintain coolness in the body, you must include millets in your diet. These millets include ragi, jowar, kutki, etc. To beat the heat, you can consume drinks made from millet, which also promotes the health of your intestines.

Kutki Broth
Material:

2 tbsp kutki, 2 tbsp green moong dal, 2 cloves, 1/4 cinnamon stick, chopped carrot, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, salt and pepper to taste, lemon juice, 1 tsp oil, Some curry leaves, 1-2 green chilies, 3-4 cups water, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 finely chopped onion.

Recipe
Soak the kutki in water for at least 20 minutes. Now filter it with water and let it dry. After this, dry roast the moong dal and grind it coarsely. After this heat the cooker and add oil to it. Apply to temper cloves, cinnamon, curry leaves and mustard seeds. Then add ginger paste, onion, green chili, carrot, turmeric powder and water. Next, add some salt, black pepper and coriander powder along with millet and ground moong dal. Allow this mixture to boil and then give it two to three whistles. After some time filter the drink, and add some lemon juice to it. Enjoy the broth of kutki.

Ragi malt
Material

3 tbsp ragi flour, 2 cups water, 1 cup buttermilk, salt as per taste, a big pinch of asafoetida, one or two finely chopped onions, 4-5 curry leaves.

Recipe
To make ragi malt, take sprouted ragi flour and mix it with water. Let the mixture cook in a pan till the color of the flour becomes dark. Allow this mixture to cool and then add buttermilk, cumin, salt and onion to it. Mix it well.

Now heat a pan for tadka, add oil to it and add some mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle, add curry leaves. Pour this tempering over ragi malt and enjoy.

Barley drink
Material

1 cup whole jowar, salt as per taste, 2 tbsp curd, 1 cup water.

Recipe
Wash the jowar and soak it in water for a day. Then dry the tide. After this, grind it in the mixer till it becomes coarse. Now add 1 cup of water and boil it. Let it cool and then add some curd. Add salt as per taste. Blend the concoction, then enjoy this drink in the summer.
