Today Aadhaar card is being used all over the country as an identity card. Aadhaar is being used in everything from getting a SIM card to college admission and opening a bank account, but do you know how Aadhaar can be verified?

For example, suppose you are a landlord and a tenant comes to your house and gives you his Aadhaar card as identity proof, how will you check whether that Aadhaar is genuine or not? You can identify an Aadhaar card very easily. You can do this work from your phone too. There are two ways to do this. The first method is a QR code scanner and the second is a UIDAI site.

Verify Aadhaar with a QR code scanner
There is a QR code on all Aadhar cards which is on the right side of the Aadhar card. On scanning this QR code, the complete information given on Aadhaar is visible. Scan the QR code of the Aadhaar card with any QR code scanner or Google Lens app.

If the QR code is not working or the information displayed on scanning the code does not match the information given on the Aadhaar card, then it means that something is wrong. Apart from this, there is also a hologram sticker on the original Aadhar card.

Verify Aadhaar from UIDAI site
Go to the Aadhaar site and click on the option of Verify Aadhaar or click on https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-validity and then enter the Aadhaar number and captcha and submit. After this, you will see the estimated age, gender, state, and last three digits of the mobile number of the Aadhar card holder. By matching it with Aadhaar, you can find out whether that Aadhaar is real or fake.
