Shri Bilveshwar Nath Temple situated at Sadar in Meerut is considered a historical Siddha Peeth. The temple of Bilveshwar Nath, Jagannath ji, and Bala ji is established in this temple. Meerut is considered to be Ravana's in-laws. Ravana's wife Mandodari used to come here to worship Lord Shiva. The temple has Vishnu, Balaji, Kali Mata, and Hanuman shrines in front of Lord Shiva.

There is Pindi of Lord Shiva in the sanctum sanctorum. There is a Nandi made of marble in front of it. There is another pindi in the other part of the temple along with the idol of Ganapati. This temple is built in the Maratha medieval architectural style. Maratha-period temples were built like a fort. There is a temple in the center and huge walls and chambers all around. The architecture of the temple dates back to Peshwa times.

There, there are some sculptures on a wall in front of the Shiva temple. It is said to be from the 10th and 12th centuries.

The Baba Aughadnath Shiv Temple located in the cantonment is an ancient Siddhapeeth. The Shivling established in the temple is self-manifested. It is believed that all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled even by mere darshan in the temple. During the colonial period, the Indian Army was called Kali Paltan. Due to the presence of this temple in the Kali Paltan area, it became famous in the name of Kali Paltan. There is no fixed time for the establishment of the temple. The temple has a central huge Shiva temple, Radha Govind temple on one side, and Durga temple on the other. Many big religious rituals take place throughout the year in the huge Satsang Bhawan of the temple.

In the months of Shravan and Falgun, thousands of Kanwariyas perform Jalabhishek here by bringing water from Haridwar. In the role of India's first freedom struggle, this Dev Sthan has a prominent place. Due to the calm environment suitable for security and privacy, the British established an army training center here. Many freedom fighters used to visit this temple due to its proximity to the Indian platoon. Army soldiers used to drink water from the well in the temple premises. The Martyr Memorial established by the then Major General Jagjit Singh Arora, the winner of Bangladesh on this historical well, is a vivid symbol of the glorious past of the revolution.
