According to the Hindu calendar, every year the 526th birth anniversary of Tulsidas ji will be celebrated on the Saptami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Savan i.e. on Wednesday, 23rd August. Tulsidas ji composed many texts including the Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas, Hanuman Chalisa and spent his entire life in the devotion of Lord Shriram. Know the importance of Tulsidas Jayanti

Tulsidas ji was a Hindu saint and great poet. He spent his entire life in the devotion of Lord Shri Ram. Tulsidas composed many works, but he is known primarily as the author of the epic Ramcharitmanas.

Tulsidas ji is also considered to be the reincarnation of Maharishi Valmiki. Along with this, he is also called the composer of Hanuman Chalisa. Tulsidas ji spent his life in Varanasi. The famous TulsiGhat on the river Ganga in Varanasi is named after him.

It is believed that the Pawanputra Hanuman temple was established by Tulsidas ji. Tulsidas ji was born on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. That's why this day is celebrated as Tulsidas.

Tulsidas ji composed many books

Tulsidas ji is considered the author of Ramcharitmanas, Vinay Patrika, Barvai Ramayana, Ram LalaNahchu etc. Tulsidas ji is called a spiritual teacher. It is said that Tulsidas ji wrote many compositions for the worship of Hanuman ji which includes Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrangban etc.

How Tulsidas ji became a devotee of Lord Shri Ram

Tulsidas ji loved his wife very much. Once he crossed the raging river to meet his wife and went to her house. Then his wife preached to him and said as much as you love me. If you had loved Lord Shri Ram that much, you would have attained salvation. On hearing this, Tulsidas ji's consciousness awakened from every pore and at the same time he got engrossed in the devotion of Lord Shri Ram.
