Truecaller launches verified contact digital directory. Through this people will be able to know whether the caller is an officer or a thug. With the help of the new feature, Truecaller users can contact government officials and add phone numbers to the app.

It will be easy to join the government

Truecaller said that the government directory of the app includes numbers of more than 23 states and union territories of 20 central ministries. These numbers have been collected directly from government and official sources. The company says that the numbers of different departments and states will be included in the app.

The verified number will appear separately

Truecaller plans to add contact numbers at the district and municipal levels. With the help of this, users will be able to know whether the caller is a government official or a thug. Green background with a blue tick will appear when an officer calls a person. This means that the number is verified. With Truecaller's new feature, users can contact the local authority for any kind of information. Currently, this feature is available on the Android version.
