Chenap Valley: There is such a beautiful place in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, about which few people know even today and that is Chenap Valley. This valley is situated at an altitude of about 13,000 feet above sea level. Which looks very much like the Valley of Flowers. The distance of this valley from Joshimath city is about 28 km. A wonderful view of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, and Dronagiri can be seen from this valley. This is the best destination for those people who are fond of trekking or are looking for a peaceful destination away from the crowd. Of course, there is a dearth of places to visit here but this valley in itself is enough to make your vacation memorable.
Chenap Valley Attractions
Situated at an altitude of 13 thousand feet in Joshimath, this valley is the biggest attraction of Chenap Valley, the naturally made long bunds and beds. In the rainy season, beautiful and rare flowers of about 300 species can be seen here. Dev Pushpa Brahmakamal can also be seen in this valley. Apart from Brahmakamal, Fenkamal, Anemone, Marsh, Marigold, Pribhula, Snake Lily, Cobra Lily, Potentilla, Geranium, Blue Poppy, Tarak Lilium, Himalayan Blue, Poppy Bachnag etc. flowers can also be seen and captured in the camera. Apart from flowers, there is a store of rare species of wildlife and herbs. Like the Valley of Flowers, this valley also changes its color in 15 days.
Best time to visit
You can plan any time of the year to see the beauty of Chenap Valley, but the months of July to September are the best to visit here because at that time the beauty of the valley is at its peak.
How to reach Chenap Valley

The nearest railway station to reach here is Haridwar, which is 299 km from Joshimath. From here you can easily go by bus or taxi to Chenap Valley Chamoli Garhwal.
Air shaft
The nearest airport is Jolly-Grant-Airport-Dehradun. Jolly Grant Airport, which is about 20 km from Rishikesh and 285 km from Joshimath.
Road way
To reach here, vehicles are available till Marwari bridge near Joshimath, 265 km from Rishikesh. But after that, a journey of about 20 km has to be covered on foot, which takes at least 3 days. After an overnight stay at Thang village on the first day and Dhar Khark on the second day, reach Chenab valley on the third day.
