One of the most common problems of winter is that these days dandruff bothers you a lot. Scalp-related problems can bother you so much in winter that you have constant itching or your scalp starts falling off. These days there is a problem of hair fall along with dandruff because dandruff can also lead to scalp infection. If you are having this problem as well then you need to adopt some hacks.

Aesthetic Physician and Dermatologist Dr. Saru Singh have shared information related to dandruff in winter on her Instagram account. According to her, dandruff is the most common winter problem and the simple reason for this is that there is more dryness in the air. Due to this, the skin of the scalp becomes flaky and itching starts excessively.

Dr. Saru Singh has also given some tips with the help of which you can reduce dandruff from your hair. With this, the quality of your hair will be better in winter.

1. Wash your hair more frequently

You should clean your hair a little frequently. Mostly in winter, we shampoo only once a week, but this method is not right. We must wash our hair at least twice a week. This will keep the scalp clean and the risk of scalp infection will not be high. With this, keep in mind that the shampoo should be mild and if you have a lot of dandruff on your scalp, then use anti-dandruff shampoo, but do not apply it in length.

If anti-dandruff shampoo is applied to the length of the hair, it roughens them, which increases the problem. You should use it only on the scalp.

2. Stay away from styling products

If the problem of winter dandruff has increased in your head, then you have to stay away from styling products. You have to use mild products. Most people apply gel, mousse, hair spray etc. in their hair and the problem of scalp infection and dandruff increases. This is why you should stay away from styling products and avoid product buildup on your scalp.

3. Improve blood circulation of the scalp

If you have excessive dandruff in your head, then it can also be due to poor blood circulation of the scalp. Massage your scalp every night with your fingertips for 5 minutes. You have to do this work before sleeping so that the hair follicles remain strong. You can also do dry massage and massage with oil, but keep in mind that do this only with fingertips. Do not rub the scalp too much as it will cause discomfort.

By massaging too hard, the roots become weak and due to this, your hair starts falling.

4. Must use conditioner with shampoo

To reduce the frizziness of hair, you must use conditioner along with the shampoo. But keep in mind that the conditioner should always be applied on the length of the hair and not on the scalp. Applying conditioner on the scalp can weaken the roots of your hair and then the problem of hair fall can come to the fore.

5. Don't use too much heat

If you are getting more dandruff in your hair than before, then you have to keep in mind that too much heat should not be used on the scalp. The air is already dry in winter and in such a situation, if we use too much heat on our scalp, it will increase the problem. During dry air, if you apply more heat on the scalp, then the upper layer of the scalp will be damaged and this again causes dandruff.

Along with all this, you also have to keep in mind that during this time you should drink more water. You should keep drinking water to keep the scalp and skin healthy. If you are feeling rash along with itching in the scalp, then you should consult a dermatologist about it.
