With the onset of summer, the electricity bill also starts increasing. AC is considered to be the biggest reason behind this because people use AC continuously in summer. If the electricity bill is high due to AC in your house, then today we will tell some smart tips by which the electricity bill will not come high even if the AC is running more.
Use the timer
Many people go to sleep by turning on the AC at night and the room also gets cold at night, but people do not wake up and turn off the AC due to being asleep. Your electricity bill increases due to AC running overnight. In such a situation, if you use the timer in AC, then your room will also remain cool and after some time your AC will also stop running. By adopting this method, your electricity bill is reduced considerably.
Do this work before running AC
Make sure to get the servicing done before running the AC. By getting the servicing done, the AC uses less electricity. Along with this, get the filter cleaned properly or if it is bad, get it replaced immediately. If there is a 7 or 8 years old AC in the house then it would be better to replace it. If you are thinking of buying a new AC, then along with seeing the star rating in it, get an inverter-based AC installed. This will save the electricity bill and the power consumption will not be high even if the AC is running more.
Keep the room closed
If you run the AC and leave the room open, then you should not do this because it takes more time for the AC to cool. You should also close the windows and other doors of the room properly and also put curtains so that the sunlight does not enter.
On the other hand, heavy electronic equipment like fridge, TV, and computer in the room generate a lot of heat, so they should not be kept in the room, but if you have less space, then turn off all these equipment before turning on the AC and keep the room cool. Allow cooling.
