In India, on Thursday, the maximum number of 495 new cases of coronavirus 'Omicron' was reported in a single day, due to which the number of cases of infection from this form has increased to 2,630. Out of the total cases of Omicron form, Maharashtra reported the maximum 797 cases, followed by Delhi 465, Rajasthan 236, Kerala 234, Karnataka 226, Gujarat 204, and Tamil Nadu 121.

90,928 new cases of Covid-19 registered
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, after 90,928 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in India in a day, the number of infected in the country has increased to 3,51,09,286. These are the highest number of cases reported after about two hundred days. Earlier, on June 10 last year, 91,702 cases of infection were reported. The ministry said that after the death of 325 more infected in the country, the death toll has increased to 4,82,876.

Increase in the number of patients under treatment


At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has increased to 2,85,401, which is 0.81 percent of the total cases of infection. The number of patients under treatment has increased by 71,397 in a single day. The ministry said that the national recovery rate from Kovid-19 has come down to 97.81 percent. The daily infection rate is 6.43 percent while the weekly infection rate is 3.47 percent. The number of infected people has increased to 3,43,41,009.
