Smartphone brand Redmi has prepared to launch its new phone Redmi 12 in India. This phone will be launched in India on 1st August. The Xiaomi sub-brand on Monday confirmed the launch of the new handset through its official Twitter handle. The Redmi 12 budget phone has been introduced in select countries last month. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek G88 SoC and packs a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone has a hole-punch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Redmi 12 houses a 5,000mAh battery.
Possible price of Redmi 12
The Redmi 12 was introduced in Europe last month in Midnight Black, Polar Silver, and Sky Blue shades. The phone is priced at EUR 199 (roughly Rs. 17,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and is listed in Thailand for THB 5,299 (roughly Rs. 12,500) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone can be offered in India at a European price.

The Indian variant of Redmi 12 can be offered with the specification of the European variant. In Europe, this phone comes with Android 13-based MIUI 14. The phone has a 6.79-inch full-HD Plus display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has a MediaTek Helio G88 processor and LPDDR4X RAM up to 8 GB. RAM can be expanded up to 16 GB. The phone has eMMC 5.1 inbuilt storage of up to 256 GB.
Redmi 12 gets AI supported triple rear camera setup which has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and 2-megapixel macro sensor. The phone has an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. The phone has support for a 5,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging.
