The Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI has said that people whose Aadhaar cards are 10 years old, will have to get them updated. You can get this work done for free till 14 June 2024 through the official website of UIDAI.
This is how you can update your 10-year-old Aadhaar card for free:-
Step 1
If you have not updated your or any member of your family's Aadhaar card (which is 10 years old) yet, then you can get it done
For this, you have to first go to the official website of UIDAI uidai.gov.in/en
After visiting the website, you have to choose the option of 'Update Aadhaar'
Step 2
Then you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and after that log in with the help of OTP received on the registered mobile number
Now you have to verify your documents by clicking on the document update option
After this, you have to update the scanned copy of identity card and address proof by going to the drop list below
Step 3
Then you have to click on submit, after which you will see that your form has been submitted
After submitting the form, you will get a request number, which you have to keep safely
Then within a few days, your Aadhaar gets updated.
