Courtallam Waterfall

It is one of the best places to visit in Tenkasi. Courtallam Waterfall is also known as the Spa of South India. There are a total of nine waterfalls at this place, one of which is the old waterfall, also known as Pazhaya Courtallam. There is also a man-made pool between the upper and lower falls, where you can enjoy swimming. It is a place where people of all ages like to come and have fun.

Kasi Viswanath Temple

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, built by ParakramaPandyan in the Dravidian style, is mostly visited by people. Not only the local people, but tourists also like to come here. It is also known as Ulagamman Temple, dedicated to Kasi Vishwanath. Let us tell you that this is the self-manifested form of Lord Shiva, whose consort is Ulagamman. According to beliefs, worship in this temple is equal to the main temple of Kashi. That's why the religious importance of this place increases even more.

Thirumalai Kovil

ThirumalaiKovil is a Murugan temple located in Panpoli. It is 14 km from Tenkasi. The temple ed on a small hillock adjacent to the Western Ghats is on the border of Kerala. The main deity in this temple is the idol of Murugan. ThirumalaiMurugan and ThirumalaiKumaraswamy are two names of the local deity. Lord Muruga had made Sage Agastyar visit this place. There are two entrances to this temple. There is a small idol of Ganesha at the entrance of the main sanctum. The present structure of the temple mainly dates back to the fifteenth century. Some inscriptions from the 18th century can be seen throughout the temple.

Sivasailam Sri SivasailapathiParamakalyani Temple

The Sivasailam temple is dedicated to Lord Shivasailanathar and Goddess Parvati. This huge temple has many mandapams and carved pillars. The main gopuram has five storeys. The statue of the huge Nandi is made just by looking at it. It is believed that Nandi was prepared so skillfully that it came to life and started flying. The other deities of this temple are Lord Shiva, Vinayaka, Murugan, Dakshina Murthy and Nataraja. Adjacent to the primary temple is a second temple dedicated to Goddess Paramakalyani.
