9. Calcitriol: Our kidneys release it when vitamin D is converted into this organ. This regulates the calcium and phosphorus levels of the body which are essential for bone health.
10. Cortisol: The adrenal gland releases this hormone which stimulates rapid heart rate and breathing. It also makes or breaks the mood.
11. Adrenaline: The adrenal gland releases it to prepare for stress response by controlling heart rate and increasing glucose secretion.
12. Estrogen: Estrogen hormone released from the ovaries can affect the urinary tract, cardiovascular system, bones, muscles, breasts, skin, hair, mucus membrane, brain, fertility, and reproduction.
13. Progesterone: It is released by the ovaries. It is a steroid hormone that is released from the corpus luteum after ovulation. It prepares the woman's body for possible pregnancy and also supports the body during pregnancy.
14. Testosterone: It is released by the adrenal glands and ovaries which can affect the production of red blood cells, menstruation, tissue and bone mass, and sexual desire.
