The Notes feature in WhatsApp is a tool that lets you store notes, links, task lists, or other information that is personally important to you. You can consider this as your “digital notebook”. This feature is quite useful because it is separate from any chat and syncs across all your devices.

To use it, open WhatsApp and tap the three dots in the top right corner of the chat list. Then select "New chat" and search for your contact number. Now open a chat with yourself. This chat will work like your personal notebook. Here you can store text, images, videos, links and even voice notes.

Some features of WhatsApp note feature:

  • With this feature, only you can see your notes, there is no need to share them in any chat.
  • Notes are accessible on any device you're logged into WhatsApp on.
  • Pin, label, and search notes to make it easier to find them when you need them.
  • Apart from text, it can also store images, videos, links and voice notes.
  • If you want to share a note with someone, you can copy it and send it in the chat.

If you want to create a list of important tasks, save an interesting article or just remember a message for yourself, then you can use the WhatsApp Note feature.

Apart from this, WhatsApp has recently launched another great feature, through which users can send voice messages that disappear once the voice message is heard. The feature is similar to WhatsApp's "One View" option for photos and videos, which was introduced earlier this year. Its main objective is to further increase the privacy of users.

You can now make a voice "disappear after listening" by tapping a button before recording it. The receiver can listen to it only once and after listening the message will be erased forever. This feature can prove to be very useful for those sensitive things or secret messages which you do not want to store in the next users mobile.

Some of the benefits of this new feature are:

  • With messages disappearing, you won't have to worry about someone taking a screenshot of the chat or forwarding it.
  • Apart from sensitive topics, you may get a chance to discuss openly about secret topics.
  • If you have said something wrong or don't like your voice, this feature gives you a chance to record again.

However, this feature also has some limitations:

  • Message receivers can record the message using another tool, such as a screen recording app.
  • The voice message will disappear once it is heard, so there is no way to hear it again.
