The government has released the names of 6 websites that make completely fake passports. The names of www.indiapassport.org, www.online-passportindia.com, www.passportindiaportal.in, www.passport-india.in, www.passport-seva.in, www.applypassport.org have been included in this list. . On visiting some of these websites, the account appears to be suspended.
However, information related to applying for a passport is still visible on some fake websites. In such a situation, it is advised not to use these websites even by mistake.
The passport facility is available only on this website for Indian citizens
The government has also made available the information on the official website of the Government of India to the citizens. It has been said in the advisory that the facility of making passports is given to the citizens by the Government of India only on www.passportindia.gov.in.
