Truecaller has once again introduced a new call recording feature. Earlier, the company had to shut it down due to restrictions on the operating system by Google and Apple. Truecaller has now equipped this feature with AI and can record calls as well as create long conversation chats. This feature has been introduced for both iOS and Android. However, it has been made available for premium members.
New call recording feature
The feature is currently available in the US and will soon be rolled out to other countries including India. Let us tell you that the call recording feature was introduced by the company for Android users in 2018, but it was removed due to Google limiting access to its accessibility API. This feature has been equipped with AI.
Apart from the call recording feature, the platform will also translate your calls into text messages. This feature can be quite useful during meetings. That is, what will be discussed will be received in writing. The feature currently supports the English language. The feature will be rolled out soon.
Android users will be able to use it directly from Truecaller's dialer or with another dialer with a floating recording button on Truecaller. On the other hand, iPhone users will have to use the Truecaller app to use Truecaller call recording.
Know this problem too
While using Truecaller call recording, front-end users may get to know about the call recording. That is, if you are recording calls without the permission of the users in front, then you will not be able to do so. According to the company, while recording a call, the other person on the call will hear a beep indicating that the call is being recorded.
Will start in America
Truecaller has launched an AI-powered call recording feature for its 350 million active users on both iPhone and Android, rolling out in the US and gradually to different parts of the world in the coming months, the company said. The company said that AI-based features differentiate Truecaller from other platforms.
