Tattooing is becoming a trend in today's time. It is seen that people get tattoos done on many different parts of the body. People feel very happy when theygetstheir tattoos done. But if it starts to fade after a few days of getting a tattoo, then it is very frustrating. Sometimes we start blaming the tattoo artist or the ink itself for this. Whereas the truth is that after getting a tattoo, it is very necessary to take adequate care of it to keep it always the same.

Usually, people get tattoos done but do not pay attention to their aftercare. Due to this, it starts appearing to fade in no time. You may have made a similar mistake. So today, in this article, Tattoo Artist Satyam Panwar of Empire Ink Tattoo Studio is telling you what things you should take special care of after getting a tattoo to prevent it from getting faded-

It is very important to apply cream

It is seen that some people get a tattoo done, but later do not pay attention to moisturizing it while this step is very important. When you do not moisturize your skin, it causes itching in the tattoo area and frequent itching increases the risk of infection. Not only this, but when you do not moisturize your skin, it also causes the tattoo to fade. However, you should also take care that you do not over-moisturize it.

Avoid Peeling Skin

After getting the tattoo done, the skin starts peeling off within about a week. During this, most people pull that skin out at once. This is the biggest reason for the tattoo getting faded. If you want to maintain the colour of your tattoo, then you should never peel off the skin of the tattoo. Allow the skin to exfoliate on its own and keep moisturizing the skin during that time too.

Protect from direct sunlight

If you have got a tattoo done, try not to expose your tattoo to direct sunlight. This increases the chances of the tattoo getting faded manifold. Try to cover the tattoo whenever you go out. If this is not possible, apply a moisturizer with SPF to the tattoo. It will moisturize your skin as well as provide sun protection.

Water protection is also important

Although water can be applied to that place after 24 hours of getting the tattoo done, still you should keep in mind that you let the water get there at least. Also, avoid soaping with water. At the same time, after applying water, the skin should not be rubbed.

This also increases the chances of the tattoo getting light. Some people go swimming after getting a tattoo, but the chlorine water from the pool can damage your skin and cause skin irritation as well as lightening the tattoo.
