You can make it any time of the day. Its taste is amazing and it does not take much time to prepare. To prepare it, semolina, desi ghee as well and dry fruits are also used. Its taste appeals to both children and adults. Since it is very light, it is also easily digestible, which means eating it will not put much weight on your stomach.
Ingredients
Semolina (Rava) – 1 bowl
Desi Ghee – 1 tablespoon
Sugar – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 3/4 tsp
Chopped almonds – 7-8
Raisins – 10-12
Salt – 1 pinch
Recipe
- First of all, take semolina (rava) put it in a pan, and roast it on medium flame.
When the semolina turns brown, take it out on a plate and keep it aside.
Now add ghee to the pan and when the ghee melts, add crushed cardamom, and after a few seconds add the roasted semolina.
- Mix the semolina with ghee well while stirring with the help of a ladle.
- When the semolina mixes well with the ghee, cook it for 1 minute and then add 2 glasses of water to it.
After some time, add sugar to the halwa and mix it well with a ladle.
- When the semolina pudding becomes thick while cooking, add finely chopped almonds and raisins to it.
Now add a pinch of salt over the halwa and mix it. A little salt helps in enhancing the taste of halwa.
Now cook the halwa for 6-7 minutes. When its color turns golden brown and a mild aroma starts coming out, turn off the gas.
While frying the halwa, keep stirring it continuously with a ladle, otherwise, the halwa may stick to the pan.
Now granular semolina pudding is ready. It can be served garnished with dry fruits.
