It is generally believed that the more sweat you shed from your body, the faster you will be able to lose weight. Many times you get to hear this from professional gym trainers as well. Even in summer, your body sweats a lot, even if you are not working out. Now the biggest question is whether sweating can cause your weight loss? Or is it just a myth?

Does sweating reduce weight?

Dr. Manan Vora told through a video on his Instagram account that the talk of losing weight by sweating is completely wrong and no one should believe this myth. He has said to get this thing out of your mind.

Why does sweating come out?

According to Dr. Manan Vohra, sweating is a function of the body due to which the dirt of the body comes out and the temperature can be regulated. When you do a high-intensity workout, the body heats up and then when you sweat, you feel a little cool. The calories burned while sweating are not that effective, they only help in the function of the sweat glands.

What to do to lose weight?

1. Focus on a balanced diet rich in whole foods, vegetables and healthy fats.

2. Take care of your mental health and stress levels.

3. Exercise regularly and focus on strength training.

4. Make sure you get 7-9 hours of good sleep every night. Poor sleep can disturb your metabolism and increase cravings for unhealthy foods.

Keep in mind that there is no shortcut to weight loss, good things take time to complete. So focus on long-term solutions to reduce belly and waist fat.
