Sattu Chutney Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 cup sattu flour (roasted gram flour)

2 tablespoons finely chopped onions

2 tablespoons finely chopped tomatoes

1 tablespoon finely chopped green chili

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander leaves

1 tablespoon tamarind pulp

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (optional, adjust to taste)

Salt to taste

Water (as needed)

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the sattu flour, onions, tomatoes, green chili, coriander leaves, tamarind pulp, and lemon juice.

Add roasted cumin powder, red chili powder (if using), and salt to the mixture. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Slowly add water, a little at a time, and mix the ingredients to form a smooth and thick chutney. The consistency should be spreadable but not too runny.

Taste the chutney and adjust the seasoning according to your preference by adding more salt, lemon juice, or spices if desired.

Once the chutney is ready, cover the bowl and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

After the resting period, give the chutney a final stir. If the chutney has thickened, you can add a little more water and mix well to adjust the consistency.

Transfer the sattu chutney to a serving bowl or an airtight container.

Serve the sattu chutney with parathas, rotis, or use it as a dip for snacks like samosas or pakoras. It can also be used as a spread for sandwiches or wraps.
