The government runs many beneficial and welfare schemes for the people living in urban areas as well as rural areas. The poor class, middle class, and needy people get the benefits of these schemes. In this series, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scheme on 22 January 2024, named Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana. This scheme was started to reduce people's electricity bills to zero. In such a situation, the aim is to install solar panels on the homes of eligible people, so let us know how you can join this scheme and what the benefits in it. Who are the eligible people?
Under PM Suryodaya Yojana, those people are eligible, who come from poor class or middle class.
Whose annual income is less than one or one and a half lakh rupees, if you do not have a government job, if you are not a taxpayer etc.

You get these benefits:-
Under the scheme, the objective is to install solar panels on the roofs of the houses of eligible people. There is a plan to provide these benefits to one crore people
At the same time, 300 units of electricity will be given free to the beneficiaries every month.

Step 1

If you want to join this scheme, then you have to first go to the official portal of the scheme solarrooftop.gov.in.
Then you have to click on the Apply button on the portal and select your state.
Also, you have to fill in the district and the electricity bill number of your house.

Step 2
Then fill in the remaining information on your electricity bill and also give information about solar panels.
After this, you have to tell the length and width of your roof and give complete information about the roof.
Then choose solar panel and apply, after which the subsidy is sent to you by the government.
