Parents are often worried about their daughter's education and marriage. In such a situation, to end this problem, the Government of India has started Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign.

In this scheme, parents can invest in the bright future of their daughters.

In this scheme, it is very important for the investor to deposit at least the minimum amount in a financial year. If he does not do this then his account gets frozen. The current financial year will end on 31 March 2024. In such a situation, the investor has only a few days left.

The investor will have to deposit the minimum amount in the Sukanya Account before 31 March 2024. If they have deposited the minimum balance then they do not have to worry about anything, but if they have not deposited the minimum amount yet then they should do it soon. So that their account does not become inactive.

What is the minimum amount?
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a Small Saving Scheme. In this scheme, the government offers 8.2 percent interest on the investment amount. Parents can invest in it for their daughter's education or marriage. You can apply for this scheme from the birth of your daughter till she turns 10 years old.

Investment in the scheme has to be made for about 15 years. When the daughter turns 18, she can withdraw 40 percent of the amount from the scheme for education and the remaining amount can be withdrawn on the daughter's marriage.

To keep the Sukanya account active, the investor has to invest at least Rs 250 in a financial year. An investor can invest a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year.

If the investor does not deposit the minimum amount in the Sukanya account, then other benefits like tax benefits available in the scheme will also not be available. Apart from this, a minimum amount will also have to be deposited i.e. the investor will have to pay a minimum amount of Rs 500 for 2 years.
