Why does the stomach ache when one feels cold?
When the temperature drops in winter, your overall health can be harmed. Due to the decrease in temperature, one feels cold in the stomach. Because of this, stomach activities start getting affected. Digestion becomes slow, bowel movement also slows down. There is also a risk of norovirus during the winter season. Norovirus is a highly contagious disease that causes inflammation in the stomach and intestines. Due to this, symptoms like food poisoning and stomach pain are seen. This often causes stomach upset in winter.

- nausea and vomiting

How to protect
- If you feel cold in your stomach, you can make a decoction of cumin, coriander, fennel, celery or fenugreek and drink it. They are rich in antioxidant, antivirus and antiseptic properties which also reduce infection and keep the body temperature normal.
- For warmth, consume turmeric milk, jaggery, herbal tea and sesame seeds.
- You can also do abdominal compression. This can provide relief from stomach aches and cramps.
