Material
Potatoes – 3 large
Tomato-3
Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Whole cumin - half teaspoon
Turmeric powder - half teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder- half teaspoon
Dry mango powder- as per taste
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Salt - as per taste
Asafoetida – a pinch
Coriander – for garnish
oil as per requirement
How to make Potato Tomato Jol
1. Boil the potatoes and peel them. Cut it into pieces or mash it.
2. Cut the tomatoes also. Peel the ginger and garlic put the tomatoes in the mixer and make a paste.
3. Now place the pan on gas and add oil to it.
4. When the oil is hot, add whole cumin seeds to it. Also, add whole red or green chilies.
5. Now add tomato paste to it and stir well.
6. Add all the spices like coriander, turmeric, red chili, garam masala powder.
7. Fry it on low flame for at least 5 minutes. When oil starts leaving the pan, add potatoes to it.
