Often we get such calls or SMS on our phone, which bothers us. These include marketing and promotional calls, which affect your daily life and sometimes we have problems with it even amid important work.
Apart from this, these calls are sometimes scams, which can be unwanted calls from telemarketers, robocallers, or scammers. The good thing is that you can easily block these calls. Here we are going to tell you how to block spam calls on Android phones.
National Do Not Call Registry
Registering your number with the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) is one of the simplest ways to block spam calls.
Let us tell you that it was earlier known as the National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC).
With the help of this service, you are allowed to stop receiving telemarketing calls.
How to activate the DND service
First of all, open your SMS app.
After this type 'START' and send it to 1909.
Here you will get a list of categories like banking, and hospitality.
Each category will have a unique code.
Now reply with the code of the call you want to block.
After the process is completed, you will get a message and the DND service will be activated within 24 hours.
DND service of telecom operators
With the help of this method, you can get help from your telecom operators i.e. Jio, Airtel, or Vi.
First of all, let's talk about Jio. If you want to use Jio, then go to MyJio app> Settings> Service Settings> Do not disturb. Select the categories you want to block.
Airtel users go to Airtel.in/airtel-dnd, enter their mobile number and OTP, then select the categories you want to block.
On the other hand, Vi (Vodafone Idea) users go to discover.vodafone.in/dnd, enter their details, and select the category to block.
