Under Eye Dark Circles Reason: Today's hectic life is enough to make a person sick. Unhealthy lifestyle not only promotes diseases but also increases skin related problems. There is one such serious problem, which is being seen in most of the people these days. Yes, this problem is the presence of dark circles under the eyes. This problem can occur at any age and due to many reasons. Now the question is why there are dark circles under the eyes? What to do to get rid of this? Dr. Preeti, Dermatologist of Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Delhi is explaining these questions in detail-

Generally, dark circles under the eyes are considered to be the cause of fatigue and lack of sleep. Actually, after working hard, not getting enough sleep at night causes fatigue on the face. Due to this fatigue, small veins on the face start getting dark and purple blue circles start appearing under the eyes.

Lack of iron in the body also causes dark circles, which is considered the first symptom of anemia. Actually, iron deficiency can cause lack of oxygen in the body, which increases dark circles and wrinkles. However, many people may have dark circles under the eyes due to health conditions or lack of nutrition. Therefore, to get rid of this problem, it is very important to take a balanced diet.

Sometimes UV rays also become the cause of dark circles. Because, when you stay in the sun for a long time, pigmentation forms on the skin. Gradually it starts appearing in the shape of dark circles around the eyes. Actually, there is a lot of melanin around the eyes and it causes tanning. Apart from this, the problem of dark circles can also occur due to hormonal changes. In this condition, dark circles of blue and dark brown color are visible.

Sometimes dark circles can also occur due to dust in the eyes or any kind of allergy. In fact, due to frequent itching in the eyes, we also damage the skin under the eyes. This is the biggest reason for dark circles in children. However, sometimes the problem of under eye dark circles also occurs due to genetics or ageing.

Due to today's busy life, there is lack of nutrition in the body. In such a situation, when there is a deficiency of nutrition in the body like iron, vitamin A, C, K, and E etc. then dark circles can occur under the eyes. Therefore, if you are facing this kind of problem then you can take supplements on the advice of the doctor.

Many times our wrong habits are also the reason behind dark circles under the eyes. Especially smoking and drinking in this. Yes, due to the habit of smoking and drinking, there is lack of water in the body and due to dehydration, dark circles start forming. This is the reason why excessive smoking and drinking should be avoided.
