If customers do not keep these things in mind, they will lose their old numbers. Let us know about these important thingsā€¦

Nowadays, network problems have become common. Many people change their operators due to network problems. In telecom language, it is called SIM port. Many times people want to change their SIM operator due to network problems or any other reason. But do you know how easy it is to port a SIM card? Today we will tell you some special things related to this...

Port your number like this
First of all, to port the number, write PORT, give space, and then type the number to be ported.
For example, write the message PORT <9000000000> and send it to 1900.
After sending the message you will get an 8-digit UPC (Unique Porting Number) from your current mobile operator.
This UPC expires within 4 days, but in Jammu and Kashmir, North East, and Assam it is valid for 30 days.
It is mandatory to submit the application to the new operator within four days.

You go to the store of your new service provider. Here you need an Aadhar card or any ID proof. An application will be sent from the new operator to the old operator to see if there is any outstanding amount or issue with your number. After completion of the verification process, the old operator will inform the new operator about the rejection/approval status of the MNP application. After this, other processes will continue and you will keep getting information about it from the operator. Earlier this process used to take about 7 days, but now it is completed in just two to three days. For this people do not even need to go anywhere. The operator has started providing the facility of SIM port at home.

...then your application may be rejected
If the customer has not been able to pay the mobile bill within the given time.
Along with this, the old operator should not have been used for at least 90 days.
There is any kind of criminal case registered against the mobile number. The operator in which you want to change the SIM should not be in the service of your city.
UPC does not match
The mobile number should be registered in the name of a firm or organization.
