People living in India have to pay many types of taxes. One of those taxes is the toll tax. If any driver enters from one state to another, he has to pay some rupees as toll tax. Earlier in India, there used to be long queues of vehicles at toll plazas to pay toll tax. In which people used to waste a lot of time. But now the Fastag service has started at toll plazas all over India.
Now no one has to put the vehicle in line to pay toll tax. Through Fastag, people pay the toll immediately and move ahead. But now new technology can be tried for toll tax in India. Due to this the hassle of Fastag can also end. Now a plan is being made to implement the system of taking toll tax through satellite in India. Now the question is coming to the mind of the people whether Fastag stickers will have to be removed from the vehicles. So let us give you answers to all such questions.
Satellite toll system will be implemented soon
For some time now, there is a process going on to change the system of collecting toll tax in India. Earlier, the process of paying toll tax through Fastag was started by removing manual toll tax collection. Now, there is an effort going on to develop a system for collecting toll tax through satellite. This new system will be called GHS i.e. Global Navigation Satellite System. Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has recently talked about implementing the GNSS toll system on the Bengaluru Mysore Expressway.
Through this toll tax system, toll tax will be collected according to how much the vehicle has traveled. Complete information of the vehicle will be present in the system through satellite. For this, neither the vehicle will have to stop at the toll plaza nor will any kind of scanning have to be done. And no payment will have to be made. Toll will be deducted from the account automatically through the GNSS system.
Fastag sticker will not have to be removed
Now this question is coming into the minds of people whether the Fastag stickers on the vehicles will have to be removed after the implementation of this Global Navigation Satellite System. So let us tell you that there will be no need to do this. According to the information given at the moment, the Global Navigation Satellite System i.e. GNSS toll system will be implemented on hybrid models.
That is, this system will be implemented only on some selected expressways and highways of the country. And information about when this system will be implemented has also not been revealed yet. So at present, you do not need to remove the Fastag sticker at all.
