SarvaPitru Amavasya 2023: Starting from the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada till the new moon day of Ashwin month, Shraddha ends on the date of Pitru Paksha Amavasya. Rules of Sarvapitri Amavasya
When the death date of the ancestors is unknown, then there is a rule to perform Shraddha on Pitru Visarjan Amavasya for the peace of the ancestors.
You cannot remember the dates of all the ancestors, even in such a situation, Shraddha should be performed on Pitru Visarjan Amavasya. If for some reason you are not able to perform Shraddha during Shraddha Paksha, you can still perform Shraddha on Amavasya day.
On this day, invite a Satvik and learned Brahmin to your home and request him to give you food and blessings, take a bath, and prepare food with a pure heart, but the food should be Satvik.
On Sarvapitri Amavasya, after a morning bath, one should offer water to the Sun God while chanting Gayatri Mantra.
After that, after putting sesame seeds in a pot of water, facing south, water should be offered to the ancestors.
After this, a portion of the food prepared for Shraddha at home should be taken out and given to Panchabali i.e. cows, dogs, crows, gods, and ants.
After this, feed food to the invited Brahmin give him Dakshina and seek his blessings.
Now one should pray to the ancestors with devotion and in the evening, as per one's capacity, one should light two, five, nine or even sixteen lamps.

On the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya, recite the seventh chapter of Geeta to give peace to the ancestors and get their blessings. Also, dedicate its entire fruit to the ancestors.
For those people who are unable to perform Tarpan, Shraddha, etc. for 15 days of Pitru Paksha or those who do not remember the date of death of their ancestors, Shraddha, Tarpan, donations etc. are performed on this Amavasya.

It is necessary to have Kheer Puri in the meal.
Before feeding the Brahmin, give Panchabali, after that feed the Brahmin with reverence.
Send off the Brahmin by applying Tilak to the God and giving him Dakshina.
