Rivers to Divide India-Pak Border

Rivers to Divide India-Nepal Border

Perhaps you know, if not, then for your information, let us tell you that India and Nepal share about 1088.02 miles of land border with each other. Nepal shares borders with the Indian states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim.

If we talk about which river separates India and Nepal, then the name of that river is Kali River. According to the Sugauli Treaty, this river forms the international border between India's Lipu-Lekh Pass (Kalapani) and Nepal.

Apart from the Kali River, there is another river which forms the border between India and Nepal. The river we are referring to is known as Narayani in Nepal and Gandak River in India.

Rivers to Divide India-Bangladesh Border

Bangladesh is a neighbouring country of India with which India shares a border of about 4 thousand kilometres. Many rivers are flowing between these two countries which also separate them.

Whenever there is mention of the river separating the India-Bangladesh border, the name of Feni River is taken first. Feni River originates in South Tripura district and flows into Bangladesh. Apart from this, Ichamati River flows through India and Bangladesh and also forms the border line between the two countries. It is said that the Brahmaputra River also flows in India and Nepal.
