Gulab Jamun is such a sweet whose name makes our mouth water. This is the favorite sweet of many people. Gulab Jamun is usually made for weddings and special occasions, but you can also make it at home. Come, let us tell you how to make delicious Gulab Jamun at home.

Material:

100 grams khoya

1 tablespoon flour or semolina

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 cups sugar

2 cups water

2 tablespoons milk

4 green cardamoms

ghee

Method:

First of all, mash the khoya well in a bowl.

Now, prepare the dough by mixing flour and baking soda in it. A food processor can also be used for this.

The dough should be soft and pliable, not dry. If you find it dry then wet your hands and work on it again.

Shape the dough into small balls, which can be round or oval.

Put ghee in the pan, put a small piece of dough in it, and see that it comes up at once.

Lower the flame and add bread cubes.

Take out the bread and add as many berries as you can into it. Note that these should not touch each other.

Lower the flame, and fry all these gulab jamuns till they turn golden brown.

Take out the gulab jamuns from the ghee and fry the remaining jamuns. Increase the flame for some time and then reduce it again before adding gulab jamun.

Keep the gulab jamuns aside until the syrup is made.

Mix sugar in water and keep it to cook on low flame. Keep stirring it continuously until the sugar dissolves completely. It should not boil.

Increase the flame when the sugar dissolves and you can even boil it till then.

Cook it until it thickens a little. When the syrup cools down, put your finger in it and test it. In some time she will emerge completely coated.

Remove the syrup from the gas and let it cool for half an hour. Filter it through a sieve and muslin cloth.

Add cardamom and boil it again.

Add gulab jamun to it and turn off the flame. Let the gulab jamuns soak in it for half an hour before serving.
