These people cannot get a ration card

According to the rules, if a person has property of more than 100 square meters in his name, which includes flats, plots and houses, ration cards are not issued to such people. Also, if an applicant does not have a four-wheeler, i.e. a car or a tractor, then the ration card is not made.

Applicants whose family members are doing a government job are also not issued ration cards. For families living in villages, their annual income should be less than Rs 2 lakh to get a ration card. Whereas, the income of urban families should not be more than Rs 3 lakh. If someone has an income more than this, then their ration card is also not made. Also, people who pay income tax and people who have licensed weapons cannot get a ration card.
