Be it state governments or central government, both of them run many types of beneficial and welfare schemes at their respective levels. Take the Ayushman Bharat scheme for example. It was started by the Central Government, but now many state governments are also associated with this scheme. Therefore, now the name of this scheme has been changed to 'Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Mukhyamantri Yojana'. This is the eligibility list for the scheme:-
The people who are eligible for Ayushman Card are as follows…
People who are daily wage laborers
If you live in a rural area
If your house is raw
A person who belongs to a scheduled caste or tribe
who is destitute or tribal
If you are a landless person
If there is any disabled member in your family etc.
Eligible people can apply like this:-
If you are eligible, go to your nearest Jan Seva Kendra to apply and give your documents to the concerned officer.
Then your eligibility and documents will be checked, if everything is correct then your application is submitted.
Within a few days, your Ayushman card will be ready.
What benefits do you get?
Under the scheme, after the Ayushman card of the eligible people is made, the cardholder can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the listed hospitals.
