This Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana of the Government of India was started in September last year. What benefits are available?
If you join this scheme, you are given a few days of training, after which you are given Rs 500 daily till the training continues.
Beneficiaries can buy toolkits for which Rs 15,000 are given.
At the same time, the beneficiaries joining this scheme are also given the facility of loan.
There is a provision to give you a loan of one lakh rupees first without any guarantee and at a cheap interest rate.
After this, you can get an additional loan of two lakh rupees.
Who are eligible?
If you are a sculptor, stone carver, stone breaker, hammer and toolkit maker, fishing net maker, boat maker, lock maker, mason...
Washerman and tailor, basket/mat/broom maker, weapon maker, if you are a goldsmith, doll and toy maker, barber i.e. hair cutter, garland maker, cobbler/shoe maker and those who work as a blacksmith. All of them are considered eligible for this scheme.
