Who can apply?
If you are 18 years of age and are a sculptor, stone carver, mason, boat builder, stone breaker, hammer and toolkit maker, locksmith, or gunsmith, you are eligible for the scheme ...
At the same time, people who are cobblers/shoemakers, basket/mat/broom makers, fishing net makers and barbers, garland makers, washermen, tailors, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, doll and toy makers can also apply for this scheme.
The benefits to be availed are:-
After joining the scheme, there is a provision to give an advance of Rs 15,000 to the beneficiaries to purchase the toolkit.
Rs 500 as daily stipend
Incentive facility is also under the scheme
Loan facility of first Rs 1 lakh and then additional Rs 2 lakh, that too at low-interest rate, etc.
