A large population in the country is of laborers associated with the unorganized sector. To empower these people socially and economically, the central and state governments are running many great schemes. In this episode, a few years ago, the Government of India started the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor workers of the country after the age of 60. After the age of 60, many types of financial problems arise in front of laborers and workers. During old age, they are also left with no way to earn income. Under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, the workers of the country are given a pension of three thousand rupees every month after the age of 60. However, to avail the pension, workers have to invest in this scheme.

Workers from 18 to 40 years of age can apply in this scheme. The investment amount is decided on the basis of the age at which you apply. If a worker applies in this scheme at the age of 18, then he has to invest Rs 55 every month.

This investment has to be made till he reaches the age of 60. After the age of 60, the worker gets a pension of Rs 3 thousand every month. This pension works to fulfill his financial needs in old age.
