A large part of the Indian economy is based on the agricultural sector. Due to this, the main source of income of crores of farmers in the country is related to agriculture. However, even today there are crores of farmers in the country, who are financially very weak. The Government of India is running many great schemes to provide financial assistance to these farmers and secure their future.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is also one of these. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started by the Government of India in the year 2019. Under this scheme, the Government of India is providing financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand to the small and marginal farmers of the country every year. This financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand is released in the form of three installments every year.
Under each installment, the Government of India transfers an amount of two thousand rupees to the account of the poor farmers of the country. So far the government has sent a total of 18 installments to the bank accounts of the farmers.
Recently on October 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Washim district of Maharashtra. After getting the benefit of the 18th installment, crores of farmers of the country are waiting for the 19th installment.
If media reports are to be believed, the central government can release the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the month of February next year. However, the central government has not yet made any official announcement regarding this.
Every installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is released at an interval of four months. Due to this, the month of February next year is falling after four months of October. Due to this, it is being speculated that the 19th installment may come in the month of February of the year 2025. On the other hand, farmers who have not got e-KYC and land records verified in the scheme will not get the benefit of the 19th installment.
