The Central Government and State Governments are running various schemes to improve the economic condition of the farmers of the country. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is also included in these schemes. Under this scheme, the central government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to the farmers. This amount is given in three installments of Rs 2,000 each at an interval of four months. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent the 16th installment to the accounts of farmers on 28 February 2024. Now the farmers are eagerly waiting for the 17th installment.

According to media reports, crores of farmers in the country can get the 17th installment of PM Kisan Yojana by the end of June or the beginning of July. However, till now no official information has been given by the government regarding when the next installment of PM Kisan will come. However, one important news is that the farmers who have done KYC will get the 17th installment.

The government has made it mandatory for farmers to avail of the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to get KYC done. This step has been taken to prevent fraud in this scheme.

The Central Modi government started the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on February 24, 2019, to provide financial assistance to the farmers. How to do KYC sitting at home
To do KYC, you have to first go to PM Kisan's website http://pmkisan.gov.in. Here in Farmer Corner you have to select the option of e-KYC. Click on it. Then you have to enter your Aadhaar number. After this OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Your e-KYC process will be completed as soon as you fill this OTP. If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you will not be able to do KYC from home. For this, you will have to go to your nearest public service center.
