PhonePe: PhonePe has made a new announcement for its users. Users using PhonePe will now be able to make payments through the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). PhonePe has now started UPI service in UAE also.
The main objective of launching this new service of PhonePe is to provide convenience to Indian travellers to make payments through the PhonePe app at Mashreq'sNeopay terminals, which are located at various retail stores, and dining outlets in the UAE. And are located in tourist places.

Let us tell you that PhonePe has partnered with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) by Dubai-based Mashreq for this new service, and this is part of the plan by the Government of India to expand UPI service outside India.
With the launch of PhonePe's UPI service in UAE, the need for international cards is expected to reduce. Now tourists going to UAE from India can make payment at Mashreq'sNeopay terminals by scanning the QR code through their PhonePe app. The interesting thing is that in this, users will also be able to see the exchange rate in Indian Rupees and debit from the account.

UPI service is available in many countries also
After starting PhonePe's UPI service in UAE, the company said that after starting this facility for Indian tourists, it will try to improve the transaction process in other areas. The company said that with this step they aim to eliminate the need for bank account numbers and IFSC codes by using the UPI system for transactions.
For your information, let us tell you that India's Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI is now being used in many countries outside India. Indian citizens can use UPI in UAE as well as in Nepal, Bhutan, Singapore, France, Mauritius and Sri Lanka.
