Many women find it difficult to sleep due to PCOS and many times they do not feel energetic and fresh even after complete sleep. Some women's sleep keeps getting interrupted from time to time. These tips will help in getting sleep in PCOS

  • Eat two soaked cashews every morning. This helps in balancing cortisol levels.
  • Cashews are considered good for increasing energy and reducing stress hormones.
  • In PCOS, there is difficulty in sleeping due to increased hormonal cortisol.
  • Your irregular routine can also be the reason for difficulty in sleeping. Therefore, try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day.
  • Keep your daily routine according to the circadian rhythm or body clock. That means waking up early in the morning and sleeping early at night.
  • Stay away from phones, gadgets or TV two hours before sleeping. This removes weakness and will help in balancing the level of melatonin hormone.
  • Take a magnesium supplement before bed. This increases the production of melatonin and calms the mind.
  • Magnesium relaxes the nervous system and also improves the quality of sleep. Therefore, have a magnesium-rich diet.
  • Have a light dinner at night and focus on improving digestion. Stomach upset can also cause sleeplessness.
  • Do three rounds of deep breathing before sleeping. This will relax the body and mind and you will get good sleep.
