Patiala Chole is a great recipe that you can serve with Lachchdar Paratha, Bhature, and Jeera Rice. So let's know without delay the recipe to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup boiled white gram,
  • 2 large onions,
  • 2-3 cloves,
  • 1 piece cinnamon,
  • 5-6 garlic cloves,
  • 1 piece of ginger roughly chopped,
  • 1 thick cardamom,
  • 2 small cardamom,
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric,
  • 1 tsp red chili,
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder,
  • 1 tsp chole masala,
  • a pinch of asafoetida,
  • 1 large tomato,
  • salt and oil as per taste

process :

  • Heat a spoonful of oil in a pan.
  • Add all the standing spices. After that add onion and fry it.
  • Add garlic buds and ginger and mix.
  • After roasting for some time, take it off the flame and keep it cool down.
  • After this make a paste of it.
  • Heat the oil again in the pan. Add whole coriander, cumin, and asafoetida, and crackle. After that add this paste. Now it's time to add tomatoes. Which has to be fried till it becomes soft and cooked till the spices leave the oil.
  • After this, add boiled chickpeas to it and let it cook for 5-10 more minutes. Serve with onion flakes and green chilies.
  • -You can serve this Chole with Bhature, Cumin Rice, or Lachhedar Paratha.
