The online process to renew passport
Go to the official website of Passport Service.
If you are a new user then register and the old user has to log in with the help of username and password.
Now click on apply for a new passport/renew a passport.
Now the application form will be shown on the new webpage, in which you will have to give all the information.
After this fill out the self-declaration form.
After filling out the form, you have to pay the passport renewal charge and schedule an appointment.

How to apply for a new passport
Install the mPassport Seva app on the phone.
After this, open the app and click on New User Registration.
To register, you will have to fill in the necessary information like date of birth, name, email ID, and other information.
After filling in all the details you will have to set the password.
After this enter the captcha and submit.
Now the verification code will come on your email ID, fill it in and log in.
After this select Apply For Fresh Passport.
Now select your nearest passport office and make an appointment.

After this, you have to select either normal or immediate service. Let us tell you that in normal passport it is made in 15 days and in Tatkal it is made in 3 days.
Now you start filling out the application form and after filling the form you will get the appointment date.
After this, you will have to pay the passport fee online. After payment is made, you will get confirmation on e-mail or SMS.
You can submit photo ID proof and address proof online only.
Now you will have to go to the passport office on the appointment date and get all your documents verified.
Police verification will take place after the documents are verified. Police officers will come to the house and verify the documents.
