If you want to travel by Indian train, then you have to book train tickets for this. While on many routes you can get tickets immediately, you have to book tickets in advance because these routes are very crowded. In such a situation, many people get tickets from the ticket counter itself. Whereas, many people book train tickets from brokers for which they have to pay extra money. Apart from this, many people depend on their friends, etc. to book train tickets, but if you want, you can book train tickets yourself by creating your IRCTC account from home. You can create an account only through the official website of IRCTC or through the app
After creating an ID, you do not need to book tickets from the broker, which saves you extra money, etc.
You can create an IRCTC account from home like this:-
Step 1
If you also do not have an IRCTC account, then you can get it made, for which you first have to go to the official website of IRCTC irctc.co.in/get/train-search
After going to the website, you will see many options here, out of which you have to click on the option of 'Registration'
Step 2
After this, a form will open in front of you, which you have to fill
In this form, you have to fill in things like your full name, mobile number, and email ID
Now what you have to do is create your username and password, you need this to login
Step 3
After filling in the password, fill it in again and get it confirmed
Then you have to choose a security question and answer it
After this, fill in the rest of the information including Aadhaar number, gender, date of birth, and email
Then an OTP will come on your mobile number, by entering which you can log in
Now your IRCTC account has been created and you can book train tickets.
