Palak Pulao: By now you must have heard about pulao with crunchy vegetables or meat. You will not be able to see the vegetables in this casserole but you can get their complete nutrition. This recipe is an interesting way to treat your kids when they ask for a different dish. Also, if they are fussy eaters, this rice recipe will make it easier for them to feed. Ingredients of Spinach Pulao
300 grams spinach
1 cup rice
salt as required
1/2 tomato
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
1 tbsp refined oil
1 pinch turmeric
water as required


How to make Spinach Pulao

Step 1- Wash and chop the spinach leaves and roast them
To make this easy recipe, wash the spinach leaves and cut them on a plate, wash them once again. Now put a pan on medium heat and sprinkle oil in it. Add chopped leaves to it and sprinkle salt and turmeric powder. Stir well and cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes. Once done, turn off the flame and let it cool down.

Step 2- Grind cooked spinach and tomatoes to make a paste
Meanwhile, wash and roughly chop the tomatoes. When the spinach cools down, put it in the grinder along with the tomatoes. Grind them into a smooth paste.

Step 3- Steam the rice
Take a big pan and put washed rice in it. Put 3-4 cups of water in the tea. Add a pinch of salt to it, mix well and cover it with a lid. Let the rice cook for a few minutes. Check whether the rice is cooked or not. Once done, drain the water and put it in a pan. After this add spinach-tomato paste and add salt as per taste. Stir well to mix the paste with rice and cook uncovered.

Step 4- Garnish with roasted peanuts and serve hot
As soon as the pulao is ready, take it out on a plate. Garnish with peanuts and serve hot with raita or hot curry.
