Online privacy is a big tension in today's era. No one has any privacy in this world of superfast internet. To stop this, many social media and tech companies are making efforts at their level. Now WhatsApp has started working on a new feature which is a privacy feature.
There will be no tracking of users' IP addresses during calling in WhatsApp. WABetaInfo, which tracks WhatsApp features, has claimed in one of its reports that the new feature is currently being tested.
The new feature can be seen on the v2.23.18.15 version of Android. After the new update, users will be able to hide their IP address during voice and video calling. There will also be a setting toggle for this.
To hide the IP address, you have to go to Settings > Privacy > Calls on WhatsApp in WhatsApp settings. With this new feature, the privacy of users will be better than before. This new feature is good for privacy but the call quality will deteriorate.
Generally, the IP address of any phone or web browser is public. You can find your IP address on Google yourself. After the new update, your IP address will not be public.
