According to the report, the name of the victim engineer is Avinash Krishnankutty Kunnubaram, who is an IT engineer by profession. Avinash is 40 years old. Avinash had received a message from an unknown number in March last year which claimed that he could earn extra money by completing some online tasks.
Avinash clicked on the link and completed some tasks. In return, Avinash also got money, but with time things changed and Avinash got a shock. Initially, after receiving the money, Avinash's confidence increased, and then Avinash started investing money for more work.
Avinash invested a total of Rs 20.32 lakh for the paid task. After this Avinash realized that he had been cheated. After this Avinash tried a lot to get the money back but failed. After that Avinash complained about this to the cyber police on January 3. The police are now investigating the matter.
