The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) collects toll tax through FASTag. FASTag works on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). If you also have a car, then you must know about the rules related to FASTag. It is mandatory to put a FASTag sticker on every car running in India. If it is not installed in someone's car, then a double toll tax is charged at the toll booth.
One Vehicle One FASTag has been implemented across the country from April 1. There is a debate among the people about this. People have many questions about this. Today in this news we will try to tell you what it is and what will be its effect on the common people. Many frauds related to FASTag were coming to the fore.
Many people were using FASTag in another name, while many people had more than one FASTag. They used them according to their wish. Some people used to use Fastag on the windshield just for show, while keeping the second Fastag with themselves. The One Vehicle One Fastag rule has been implemented to prevent fraud related to Fastag.
Action after KYC
After the implementation of the One Vehicle One Fastag rule, those who have more than one Fastag, their Fastag will be closed immediately. Only one Fastag of such people will work. This is because KYC has been made mandatory. Now after this, Fastag cannot remain active without KYC. Therefore, after KYC, those who have more than one Fastag will be deactivated automatically.
If someone has not done KYC, then his Fastag will be blacklisted. After this, the driver will have to pay double the tax at the toll.
If you have also not done Fastag KYC and you have more than one Fastag, then you may get into trouble. Because the balance present in the second Fastag cannot be used. Therefore, you should immediately contact your bank and get KYC done.
