Onion Jam Recipe: This jam made of onions is a great dip for your sandwich to wrap. Apart from this, it can also be used with burgers and salads. Learn the easy method of making it at home-

Material :
-1 kg onion, chopped

-1 tbsp oil

-1/2 tbsp butter

-2 tablespoons brown sugar (more if you prefer a sweeter jam)

-1 tsp salt

-1 tsp black pepper

-1 tsp chili flakes

- fresh rosemary leaves

-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Method :
1. Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add chili flakes and herbs and cook for 2 minutes, until fragrant.

2. Add onions and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Once they become soft and translucent, reduce the flame to medium and cook for 10-12 minutes or till they turn golden brown.

3. Add brown sugar, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar and cook on a slow flame for 10-15 minutes, while stirring continuously. Cook till all the water evaporates and the onions turn sticky and dark brown. After that take it off the flame.

4. After cooling, sprinkle rosemary and then take it out in a clean glass jar.

5. Note that after making it, fill it in an air-tight jar container and keep it in the fridge and finish it in a month.
