When the color of the dumplings starts changing, then understand that they have started cooking. If you want, you can take out one pakoda and check whether it is cooked or not. After cooking, take out the dumplings and sprinkle chaat masala on top and serve with mother-in-law or chutney.
Make fritters in a nonstick pan
Less oil is used in a nonstick pan. That's why you can use a non-stick pan instead of a pan while making pakodas. To make pakodas in a non stick pan, first prepare the batter for pakodas. Then heat a non-stick pan on the gas, add one spoon of oil and spread it all over the pan. When the oil becomes slightly hot, add pakodas one by one and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. When the color of the pakora starts to turn golden, flip it over and bake it on the other side. Bake the pakoras well on both the sides and take them out.
Make fritters in appam maker
To make oil-free pakodas in the appam maker, prepare the pakoda batter. Now grease all the molds of the appam maker with ghee or oil and pour a little pakoda batter in each mould. Fry the fritters on low heat for ten minutes. When the fritters start turning brown from one side, flip them over and cook till they turn brown from the other side as well.
